our mission
Provide the youth and general public of North Iowa the opportunity to participate in and enjoy ice sports, encouraging a healthy active lifestyle. We strive to develop strong relationships within our programs and with those who are our guests through excellence and respect.

Excellence
The quality of being outstanding or extremely good.
Cooperation
The process of working together on the same end.
Development
The process of developing or being developed.
OUR ORGANIZATION
Mason City Youth Hockey Association (MCYH) was established in 1977 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
Run by volunteers, MCYH provides ice for over 200 North Iowa youth hockey players, along with 50 adult players in the Mason City Adult Hockey League, as well as 150 figure skaters who are members of the North Iowa Figure Skating Club. We also host the North American 3 Hockey Team, the North Iowa Bulls.
Our skaters practice and compete at Mason City Arena at Southbridge Mall in the heart of downtown Mason City.
As a service to the community, we open the doors for public skating. Last season, the arena was open to public skating for more than 180 hours. Groups and parties can also rent the arena for get-togethers during ice season.
